The Art of Video Games exhibition was put on by the Smithsonian Institute and was held from March 16, 2012 to September 30, 2012. The purpose of this exhibition was to explore the 40 years of evolution of video game as an artistic medium. The focus was on visual effects, the usage of new creative technologies and the most influential artists and designers.
